Rolling against gay was started by Gharbad in the IRC shortly after Inferno granted KevBot dice-rolling capabilities.
The idea is that ClanBOB is so very and inherently gay that one must make a DC5 willsave against it every day.
In the IRC, BOBs will often type "d20" to activate KevBot's dice-rolling feature. If the number is fewer than 5, then the roller failed the save and is therefore gay. If it is greater than 5, then the roller is straight for now. A roll of 5 means the roller is bisexual.
If one's roll is unsatisfactory, then one can roll again with a compounding difficulty of DC5. So if one rolled a 2 the first try, then one can roll again with difficulty of 10, and again DC15, and so on.
Critical straight and gay have two meanings. Being critically straight means that one is so straight that one can have a homosexual experience and yet remain straight. It also means that if one fails one's next willsave aginst the gay, then one does not, in fact, fail (unless it is a critical failure). The converse is true for critical failures.
Kai always rolls -5 against gay.
