NIAWP was created by Inferno in the IRC in order to mock Nick. NIAWP is an acronym meaning "Nick Is A Wanker Protocol", intended to be used like HTTP or FTP.

In response to NIAWP, Nick coined the term IIAWP, again an acronym, meaning "Inferno Is A Wozzler Protocol".

Nick and Inferno will often just say "IIAWP" and "NIAWP" to each other when they're bored.
