Mopping is the activity in which every newbie has to participate. The mop has always been, the mop will always be. There is no way around it, everyone has to mop before being acknowledged as a true BOB.

The act of mopping is, in general, behaving nicely and respecting your elders. One should also, if one wishes not to be reprimanded, add something to the effect of *mops* to every post, to show everyone that one really is mopping. The act of mopping is not as much cleaning the forums as it is showing respect for the forum elders and their traditions.

Mopping has nothing to do whatsoever with your BOB name, your posts or your position in the forums. It's most likely that no one will tell you when you are done mopping, only if you're not. You know inside you when you are truly done mopping. Only then will you be able to elevate into the domain of the true BOB.

Rules of mopping:

1. Everyone mops. Even you.

2. There are no exceptions. No one can free you from having to mop.

3. The only limit to your mopping is your imagination. Mop how ever you feel like.

4. If someone tells you to keep mopping, you're not done.
