It has recently become a tradition among some members to celebrate the birthdays of the forumites by creating a thread which only tangentally relates to the person whose birthday it is.

This became a tradition, because a few forumites got bored of simply saying "happy birthday" to someone, and instead chose to actually try and find something obscure about the person to say. This, of course, annoyed a great deal of other forumites, which of course perpetuates the tradition.

Right up until Inferno ruined it by making every day his birthday.
