A BOBname is a special name given to individual BOBs by the leaderBOBs. In EZBoard forums, a title is written under everyone's username in posts. The default title is "member"; however, forum moderators can alter this title to something of the form "xxxxxBOB", where xxxxx is a word describing a particular member.

When a leaderBOB "knights" a BOB in this manner, a big deal is normally made about it, often in the form of a thread explaining why the BOBname was given. Sometimes it's unnecessary, though, since everyone already knows why it was chosen. To many, a BOBname is a coming-of-age gift from the moderators. Not only does one have to be a regular, but one has to get noticed by the higher-ups to get such a title.
